If we get our bands as we arrive, we all get the same color (gray) How
do we tell them apart? What happens if we grab the wrong band as we head
to a park?

Have you seen Disney's attendance numbers? 2.9% is over a million of WDW's turnstyle clicks. That's a lot of guests.

It's my favorite resort as well. If you were on the 4th floor it probably was the Concourse Steakhouse.

Great Wolf Lodge uses this technology and it is really easy as a guest to use. I dont know why Disney has to go so overboard with the bracelet design. The typical plastic ones with the snap secure work great!

I'm writing a trip report on this right now as last May at this exact same time we were the Disney World Vets taking their first Disneyland vacation. (It's called Top Ten Reasons you know you have a Disney obsession.) You sound just like us. Wish I had it 100% done for you! You will have SOOOOO much fun.

My family and I attended the first weekend event Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I am a passholder and was disappointed that each day I stood in line for over an hour and a half and still did not get into the Darth Mall to get my passholder pin. Why on earth did I have to go to the tent for that one pin, but could buy my other merchandise all over the park. I have to say I was truly saddened in the way you handled this event this year.

A must eat while at Disneyland, that Walt Disney World does not have is the Blue
Bayou or French Market for the Monte Christo sandwich. Our entire family from adults to kids have to have one everytime we go to Disneyland. Also Bengo Barbecue, really good
grilled asparagus, which WDW does not have. Also on the Pirates of the Carribean the ride is lnger, and more items to see than in WDW, and of course the Buzz Lightyear ride
is better at Disneyland. You can actually aim the guns, and they are more accurate than the WDW one. They are fastened down like at WDW, and you will see as many adults as children enjoying it. If you like mexican food, there is a little hole in the wall called Alerto's, very small place, but great authentic California style mexican food for very inexpensive.

Ive found it interesing that in every one of these posts I've found that i disagree with the recommendations in some capacity. Just goes to show that Disney parks have so much variety for a reason, I guess.

I'm sorry if this was already mentioned, but you need to go on POTC in Disneyland where it's twice as long and a much better storytelling experience than WDW's! And of course you need to eat at Blue Bayou which is also inside that amazing ride. Also, I'd take my time strolling through the portrait gallery on HM, that's another thing WDW lacks. When you go on Winnie the Pooh and just start to enter the honey room, turn around and look above the doorway in which you just entered. I could go on & on. Have fun with your family!

How about thieves out there with those RFID scanners/readers. All they have to do is get within so many feet of you with their device in their pocket and boom, they have just downloaded all your info, credit card number and all. Hope they have safe guards against this.

The first year we vacationed on the DDP, dining and the tip were included. Even better, the whole thing was less than $40 per day. We still love the DDP but have had a few issues finding reservations at restaurants that we want to visit. Unfortunately people who started their DDP reservations 180 days out from their arrival date can stack up late in their week and early in mine. DDP customer service sometimes has a hard time understanding that my $7,000 trip needs to be perfect. For that price I can practically put an addition on the house or buy a new car - good down payment at least. Considering that I'm giving that kind of cash to Disney for one week of "Magic" they need to bend over backward and make the magic happen.

Without knowing specifically about the band, I can tell you that nearly all defibrillators or implanted electronic medical devices can handle electrical impulses and feedback from items such as fitness bands, portable wrist BP monitors, phones, and watches. If you have questions, rather than asking the manufacture of the band it is best to contact the maker of the defib. They usually have a hotline that can answer your technical questions.
